Formation of spider veins is attributable to a number of factors including heredity, pregnancy, hormonal shifts, weight gain, or any activity that requires prolonged periods of sitting or standing. Spider veins usually take on one of three basic patterns depending, in part, on where on the body they occur: veins radiating from a focal point, branch like patterns or linear veins. Spider veins that are thick in diameter, dark in color and are swelled are known as varicose veins. Varicose veins are associated with pain and discomfort. In sever cases varicose veins should be surgically removed.
Laser vein removal works by heating up the blood within the spider vein so that it coagulates inside the blood vessel. Spider veins will then collapse and the walls of the vessel are sealed closed. Eventually, these vessels disappear completely by dissolving within the body. Laser spider vein removal is the most advanced method of spider vein removal and delivers excellent results.
