Excessive Sweating (Hyper Hidrosis) in Barbados
Sweating is a natural phenomena necessary for the regulation of body temperature. In some people [approximately 1% of the population] the system is overactive and causes the over-production of sweat. This primarily occurs in the under arms, the hands and the feet. It usually starts during childhood or adolescence and persists for life. There are a number of treatment modalities to treat hyper hidrosis according to severity of the condition. Most recently, Botox therapeutic has proved highly effective for treatment of hyper hidrosis.
Botox Theraputic as a Blocking Agent for Hyper Hidrosis
Botox acts to block the transmission of nerve impulses that trigger hyper hidrosis. Botox is injected under the skin which will result in a reduction in hyper hidrosis. Botox is most often used to treat underarm, palm and sole hyper hidrosis.
Dr Armogan is trained in administration of Botox injections to treat hyper hidrosis. Dr Armogan will decide on the number of injections to treat hyper hidrosis. Generally, several Botox injections are required to suppress hyper hidrosis and each Botox injection will affect a small area (roughly 1cm in diameter).
Botox injections are FDA approved for treatment of underarm hyper hidrosis. Botox in known to be a highly effective treatment for hype rhidrosis. Because effects of Botox for hyper hidrosis is temporary (typically a few to several months) Botox injections are required to fight off hyper hidrosis.
